I'm new here; how do I get started?

Get Started with Twitter & Commun.it


When you login to Commun.it, you’ll be presented with the Home dashboard. Here you can see what actions you need to take to grow your community at a glance. You’ll notice that the dashboard is divided into different sections including Share Top Tweets; Thank New Followers and Consider to Follow among others. We recommend spending time on your Commun.it dashboard on a daily basis, to keep growing your community every day, and to keep up on notifications from your community. Keep in mind that the recommendations we make are just suggestions! It’s up to you to decide whether or not to perform a specific action, like sharing a top tweet or unfollowing someone. This dashboard is here to save you time and make managing your community easier, by giving you a daily task list of actions to perform and refer to.

New! Streams

Our newest addition to the Commun.it dashboard is the Streams tab. Here you can see your Twitter Home feed, to see what's going on with your community - live! Even better, you can see live posts from your New Followers, Influencers, Supporters, or Engaged members too. Try it out to stay up to date with your community at all times.


The Schedule tab lets you schedule social media posts and plan your content ahead of time. With Commun.it, you can easily schedule posts for your whole week, so that you can keep your Twitter active even if you're not on your phone or computer. Whenever you compose a new post, reply, retweet, or even send a DM, you have the option to schedule your tweet to go out later. Choose from 'Best Time' or 'Custom Time' to choose how you'd like to schedule. On the Schedule tab, you can see all the posts you have scheduled to go out, and also analyze all your past posts, to see what performed the best with your followers. You can also activate and edit your Recurring posts here.

My Community

For an in-depth understanding of  what’s happening in your community, there’s the Community Dashboard. Here you’ll get a better sense of how well your social media activity has been working and what changes need to be made.This dashboard is divided into different sections for ease of use and improved navigation. Use the menu on the left to explore all your notifications, and find intelligent suggestions. This dashboard goes beyond basic community management and gives you an understanding of your community members and what actions need to be taken next to achieve your social media goals. 


The Leads dashboard is where you can monitor and track any keywords and hashtags of interest. There is also the option to track competitors and keywords as they appear in someone’s Twitter bio. The Leads dashboard is useful for growing your community as it helps you identify people who are talking about topics of relevance to you. Try following new members, to grow your community to these new Leads.


The Analytics dashboard gives you in-depth insight into your social media community and how it’s growing. By monitoring these analytics carefully, you’ll have a good sense of what actions you need to take to boost engagement and reach your social media goals. The Activity Report gives you an overview of all your incoming and outgoing activity. The Engagement Report lets you drill down on mentions of your business or hashtag, to see who is talking about you.
