A

Affiliate/Ambassador: As an affiliate, we provide you an unique link to share with your friends and followers. In return, you get a commission your prospect subscribes. (Check out our referral program!)


E

Engaged Members: These are your core fans who engage with you more regularly than other members of your community. This could be in the form of a mention, like, retweet or direct message. It’s important to pay close attention to this feed as these community member can play an important role in helping you grow your community. Where relevant, it’s a good idea to engage these members back by thanking them, liking or even sharing their content.


D

Direct message (DM): An instant, direct and private message from one Twitter user to another that appears in a user’s “messages” box. Not to be confused with a tweet, which appears on users’ timelines and is usually public.


G

Groups: Groups make it easier to manage your community members; you can import your existing Twitter lists (both public and private) to Commun.it. They will then appear under the “My Groups” feed. You also have the option to create a new group from the Commun.it platform.


Influencers: An Influencer is someone in your community whose social media activity has impacted the way you interact. These members are determined by the number of followers the user has, their follower/ following ratio and the kind of content they post. Engage with Influencers by commenting on their posts and adding to the conversation, showing you are also a valuable member of the community.


L

Lists: A grouping mechanism where users can group other users into identifiable batches based on pre-defined criteria.


M

Mention: A mention is a Twitter term used to describe an instance in which a user includes someone else's @username in their tweet to attribute a piece of content or start a discussion. 

Monitored Items: Allows you to track mentions of your brand including any keywords and websites related to your company. You can also find people based on the keywords they’ve used in their Twitter bio.


R

Retweet (RT): When other Twitter users re-post a post made by another user.


S

Supporters: A Supporter is a community member who reacts positively to the content you share by liking, sharing or mentioning you regularly. It’s useful to keep an eye on these users as they can play a valuable role and help distribute your content. Be sure to monitor this feed carefully and engage these users by thanking or liking their posts.
